چکیده
Antimicrobial agents are used for suppressing some bacterial infections during the rearing of poultry. In this study; antibiotic resistance properties Extended Spectrum ßeta-lactamase (ESßL), Amp-C, carbapenemase-producing Escherichia coli (E. coli) strains isolated from chicken breast meat were determined by disc diffusion and E-test methods. Additionally, it is aimed to determine genes classical polymerase chain reaction (PCR). context, E. 7 100 (fillets) identified a rapid identification system (BBL Crystal). Disc test results isolates evaluated 100% tetracycline; ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, cefoxitin, nalidixic acid, oxytetracycline 85.7%; ceftazidime, cefotaxime meropenem 28.5%; chloramphenicol 71.4%, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole 42.8%; 14.2% gentamicin was observed. Test ESßL activity found in 2 test. Amp-C carbapenemase detected 6 diffusion, all E-test; activity, while not E-test, respectively. Classical PCR performed after DNAs detection genes. According results; isolates; positive only 1 isolate, 4 isolates. CTXM-1 (71%) SHV1 (71%), OXA-1 (42.8%), CTXM-9 (28.5%), TEM (14.2%) PCR, It has been concluded that poultry collected market may pose risk terms ESßL, genes, continuous monitoring required regard.

To determine the presence of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) and other potentially diarrheagenic E. coli strains in retail meats, 7,258 E. coli isolates collected by the U.S. National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System (NARMS) retail meat program from 2002 to 2007 were screened for Shiga toxin genes. In addition, 1,275 of the E. coli isolates recovered in 2006 were examine...

Staphylococcus aureus is one the top five pathogens causing domestically acquired foodborne illness in the U.S. Only a few studies are available related to the prevalence of S. aureus and MRSA in the U.S. retail poultry industry. The objectives of this study were to determine the prevalence of S. aureus (MSSA and MRSA) in retail chicken and turkey meats sold in Tulsa, Oklahoma and to characteri...

Prevalence and Antimicrobial Resistance of E. Coli Isolated from Chicken Liver Sold in Retail Markets
The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence and the antimicrobial resistance of E. coli that contaminates raw chicken liver as one of the most popular poultry sub-product sold in retail markets. Two hundred and forty samples of fresh raw chicken liver were obtained from national poultry producers in different retail marketing sites and tested for the presence of E. coli. One hund...
